Function
  • Oscillator Function
    The internal oscillator works with an external RC network (RTC/CTC pins) or a crystal (RS/RTC/CTC pins) to generate a clock signal. For external clock operation, feed the clock to RS; leave RTC/CTC floating.
  • Counting Function
    The 14-stage counter divides the clock frequency by 2¹⁴ = 16384. Outputs Q3-Q9 and Q11-Q13 provide frequency division ratios of 8, 16, ..., 8192.
  • Reset Function
    MR (active HIGH) resets all counter stages asynchronously, overriding clock inputs.
