Complete battery management solution for single-cell lithium-ion/polymer batteries, integrating independent charger, ModelGauge m5 EZ fuel gauge, full protection circuits, and self-discharge detection in a compact 1.9mm×2.5mm 15-bump WLP package.
Core Functions
- AccuCharge Standalone Charging System: Direct 5V USB charging with adjustable current (1mA-500mA), 256-level precision configuration, 0.25% high-precision voltage regulation (2.42V-4.8V). Supports pre-qualification charging, step charging, SmartFull full-charge detection, JEITA 9-region temperature charging, and built-in FET thermal regulation.
- High-Precision ModelGauge m5 EZ Fuel Gauge: Combines coulomb counting and voltage-based estimation for accurate State of Charge (SoC), State of Health (SoH), remaining runtime, and full-charge time. Cycle+ aging prediction automatically compensates for cell degradation, temperature, and discharge rate deviations. No factory calibration required for basic measurement.
- Comprehensive Multi-Layer Safety Protection: Real-time monitoring of cell voltage, charge/discharge current, die temperature, and external thermistor data. Integrated protection against overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, short-circuit, over-temperature, and low-temperature lockout. Supports zero-voltage cell recovery charging and built-in self-discharge detection.
- Ultra-Low Power Consumption: Active mode quiescent current: 35μA; hibernate mode: 21μA; ship mode: 8μA; full shutdown factory transport mode: 0.5μA. Includes button wake-up function for quick device activation, extending shelf storage time.
- Digital Communication & Security: I²C two-wire bus and 1-Wire interface for battery parameter exchange with main MCU. Built-in SHA-256 hardware authentication to prevent battery pack counterfeiting. Supports storing battery cycle history and user-defined data in on-chip non-volatile memory.
- Parallel Battery Pack Support: Independently manages multiple parallel lithium cells, eliminating cross-charging risks. Sends alert signals to coordinate external DC-DC power chips, reducing voltage dropout and heat generation during high-current charging over 1A.
