Introduction
ADP5360ACBZ-2-R7 - Integrated PMIC for Wearables and IoT Sensors
The ADP5360ACBZ-2-R7 is a highly integrated power management unit (PMIC) designed for wearable devices, wireless sensors, and compact battery-powered portable electronics.
Core Functions
  • Integrated single-cell Li-ion/Li-polymer battery charger with up to 1 A charging current, supporting trickle charge, constant current charging and constant voltage charging stages with integrated thermal and overvoltage protection
  • High-efficiency synchronous buck DC-DC converter with 1.2 A output current, adjustable output voltage (0.6 V to 3.3 V), and automatic pulse skip mode for light load efficiency
  • Two low-noise low dropout linear regulators (LDOs), each supplying 300 mA output current with ultra-low output noise and fixed/programmable output voltage options
  • Built-in fuel gauge system for real-time monitoring of battery state of charge (SoC), voltage, temperature, and current
  • Comprehensive system protection including battery over-discharge protection, input overvoltage protection, thermal shutdown, and short-circuit protection
  • I²C digital communication interface for configuring charging parameters, output voltages, and reading battery status
  • Configurable power save modes including deep sleep mode with sub-microamp quiescent current for extended battery runtime
Typical Applications
  • Consumer wearable electronics: smart watches, smart bands, wireless earbuds charging cases, health monitoring wrist devices
  • Low-power wireless IoT sensors: Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) sensor nodes, environmental monitoring sensors, asset tracking tags
  • Compact handheld medical devices: portable blood glucose meters, wearable heart rate monitors, portable oximeters
  • Small battery-powered consumer gadgets: wireless remote controllers, portable Bluetooth speakers, compact digital cameras
  • Battery-powered industrial miniature sensing modules and portable data loggers
