The FUSB303BTMX is a fully autonomous USB Type-C™ controller developed by onsemi, optimized for applications with power consumption of 15W or less. It integrates Configuration Channel (CC) logic detection, port role configuration, and accessory detection functions, supporting the latest USB Type-C™ Specification Release 1.3.
The device offers high flexibility with both I²C and GPIO control interfaces, while featuring ultra-low power consumption and a compact 12-lead QFN package.
- Supports three port roles: Source (power supply), Sink (power receiver), and DRP (Dual-Role Port)
- Provides Try.SRC and Try.SNK modes to prioritize Source or Sink role during connection
- Operates autonomously via pin configuration without complex programming
- Configurable I²C address enables control of multiple Type-C ports in a single system
- Typical operating current: ICC < 10 µA, ideal for battery-powered devices
- Functions as a Sink port even when the device has no power applied (dead battery condition)
- Withstands up to 28V DC on ID, VBUS_DET, CC1, and CC2 pins
- 4 kV HBM ESD protection for connector pins, enhancing system reliability
- Dual control interfaces: I²C (for advanced configuration) and GPIO (for simple, low-cost setup)
