Berton Information:E-sports demand is strong, and the annual growth rate of OLED display panel shipments in 2025 has been raised to 69%.
June 16, 2025 --- According to the latest survey by TrendForce, despite the overall economic situation,
both buyers and sellers of OLED display panels are positive. After ushering in an explosive 132% annual growth in 2024,
it is expected that this shipment momentum will continue to 2025.
TrendForce therefore revised the shipment volume of OLED display panels this year,
adjusting from 2.8 million to 3.4 million, an annual increase from 40% to 69%.
The overall panel market has been hit by certain impact from tariff policies,
but the impact of OLED display panels is currently slightly, and the growth momentum is still strong.
One of the main reasons is that e-sports players have a high acceptance of OLED displays,
which encourages brands to expand their related product lines. Secondly,
Korean panel manufacturers are gradually focusing on OLED display panels.
The supply of OLED display panels is still dominated by Samsung Display (SDC) and LeGD.
As OLED TV panels encounter bottlenecks in growth, SDC has turned to focus on developing OLED displays,
hoping to achieve the goal of maintaining high productivity and profitability through expanding the shipment scale of display panels.
Berton Information :LGD was originally limited by the loss pressure of LCD business and did not plan to compete in price in the OLED display field and SDC.
The shipment target in 2025 is only set to be less than 700,000 pieces. However,
considering the strong demand for customers and the insufficient supply of OLED panels,
LCD has changed its previous conservative attitude and has raised its shipment target this year to 800,000 pieces,
and has the opportunity to upgrade to 1 million pieces.
From the demand perspective, e-sports brands such as Asus and MSI vigorously promote OLED display products,
and COMPUTEX exhibited 27-inch 500Hz QDOLED e-sports products in May.
The demand for OLED display panels of the two companies will also double in 2025.
Among them, Asus' demand is expected to exceed 500,000 pieces, and it also promotes QDOLED and WOLED displays.
The sharp increase in demand for WOLED panels is one of the keys that has prompted LGD to become more positive in OLED display panels.
In addition, the trade-in policy in the Chinese market this year has also driven domestic demand for e-sports,
prompting local second-tier brands to actively expand their OLED display product lines.
Berton Prophecy: Chips related to OLED Display will also grow simultaneously.
