High-performance multi-cell lithium battery monitoring IC with passive balancing and isolated daisy chain communication, designed for EV and energy storage BMS applications.
Core Functions
Ultra-Precise Cell Voltage Acquisition
Integrated high-resolution successive approximation ADC with extremely low measurement total unadjusted error. Continuously monitors each cell for overvoltage and undervoltage faults.
Built-in Passive Cell Balancing Circuit
Every cell channel features an independent discharge MOSFET for passive balancing. Users set balancing current through external resistors to eliminate voltage differences and boost battery pack effective capacity.
Multi-Channel Temperature Detection
Supports up to 5 external NTC thermistor inputs to track battery module temperature, generate temperature fault alerts, and implement temperature-based charge/discharge limitations.
Isolated Daisy-Chain Communication
Proprietary isolated daisy-chain interface allows multiple chips to be cascaded without isolated power supplies. Strongly suppresses high common-mode noise and simplifies system wiring.
Comprehensive Built-in Diagnostic Mechanisms
Includes open-wire detection for cell sampling lines, chip internal self-test, over-temperature protection, and fault registers to store all abnormal information for host MCU reading.
Wide Voltage and Temperature Adaptability
Withstands high stack common-mode voltage of high-voltage battery packs with wide operating temperature range, suitable for harsh automotive and industrial energy storage environments.
